Hiya all, I've been trying to use Steam for a while now after seeing some of the games available for it, but have been having a few problems and wondered if anyone here can help out.
I've managed to install Steam on the family computer easily enough and it works fine, though it's too slow to really play any games. So instead I've been repeatedly trying to install it on my own computer, it installs just fine but when I start it up I get the usual updating screen/status bar, once it reaches 26% or 27% it freezes and won't go any higher no matter how long I've tried leaving it.
After looking around I heard that deleting the .blob file and trying again will fix the problem, but it still freezes.
I also tried the Steam help pages but my antivirus/firewall keeps blocking it, telling me that the page contains a virus, so i'm not too sure what else to try to get this program to work.
Any suggestions? ^^
