AIM Help!

Until now, I've been using Trillian Basic 3 to use AIM, but now I'm getting automatic messages when I login saying that I can no longer use this version of AIM and everyone on my buddy list is showing up as offline so I know I'm not "really" connected even though it says I am.

I went and downloaded the newest version of AIM, but when I signed in, my buddy list was empty and I can't add anyone. Clicking on "Add Buddy" or "Search for a Buddy" doesn't do anything, (no new window prompt or anything) and I even sent an IM to someone who was online and tried right-clicking their name and choosing "Add to Buddy List" and nothing happened. Anyone know how I can fix this? :S

Sorry, not much help here :S

I had the same issue with my Trillian and AIM and decided to throw it all away and try Pidgin. Haven't had that issue since...

A couple of people have suggested Pidgin actually! But someone already told me to try using Trillian Astra instead and it seems to be working. If I have issues with it, though, I'll give Pidgin a try. Thanks!

I used to use Digsby a while ago, but I got annoyed with the fact that you couldn't bold or italicize a selection of text, it had to be everything or nothing. D:
