Akon was....well Akon. Laptop got stolen out of my car, but thats drama thats under the bridge now. Music was temporarily halted, but thankfully for an emergency fund I'd saved I'm back in the composition cloud. Only thing is that I lost my first two FL files for 5:16 and Se7enth Hour, which does make me sad. I also lost all of the scanned artwork for Aurora divide, but I still have the originals so thats not too bad.
Had a really rough week at work and life in general (had a family member pass away this friday and the family is pretty torn up) but its slowly getting better. Funeral will be friday, so thatll be the solace a lot of use could use.
Anyway.
Work on "Time" album is coming along. If you didn't know, I was asked to present music at this years New Music Festival at Cameron University next year. I'm going to be featuring songs from "Aurora Divide", "Time" when its finished, and three classical pieces:
-three/four movement piece for piano and electric bass
-vocal jazz ballad for female alto voice and piano
-some sort of large ensemble piece, I'm thinking percussion ensemble. Not sure yet.
So, wish me luck and lets hope the inspiration continues to play in my favor.
