I recently got myself addicted to Reese's pieces, which are kind difficult to find in Britian.

I recently shouted - in a very bad american accent - "I WISH I COULD QUIT YOU" at a packet in a supermarket with friends. Only they'd moved on, and I was alone in the chocolate aisle with a young mother and her children.

So yeah. Sweets bad. And yet I love them so ;o;

Oh, I wish we could quit 'em. But the dynamic tension is so very intoxicating!

Reese's Pieces are pretty goddamn delicious. But being so close to the Continent, with so much good chocolate to choose from, I don't know if they'd continue to get my love or not. Belgian chocolate, man. Wow.

What is sold as newsagent chocolate on the continent tends to be sold as premium chocolate in British supermarkets (So I've read). British made chocolate is often adulterated with vegetable fat. When Britain joined the EU in 1973, it got an opt-out from the cocoa and chocolate products directive in order that manufacturers could continue putting vegetable fat in the chocolate.

However it is very easy to acquire good continental chocolate cheaply from Lidl, a chain of German-owned supermarkets.

Yeah, when I was living in Germany recently, I ate so much chocolate. Even the cheap stuff was pretty damned good. I gained so much weight ;o;

Although, in Germany, that was probably the fault of the MEAT.

I just mostly dark chocolate, thick buggers you'd use for cooking.
I love everything as long as it has chocolate.

Feel no shame nor remorse! The chocolate, she is goodest of the good, and the dark stuff? AW MAN YUM. Bittersweet chocolate and merlot equals bliss. Plus good company equals ecstasy. Plus a 69 and rump love equals Nirvana.

I agree whole heartedly! My secondary hatred comes from the fact that Chocolate makes me congested these days. Curse you chocolate and your runny nose causing goodness!

Yeah, does that to me too if I've any kind of congestion to begin with. And yet its allure cannot be overcome! I bend to its will despite my best efforts!
