I miss drawing *sadface*

I've done practically no drawing this month, and that makes me sad. It's not for lack of inspiration, I just haven't had time. A couple of you already know this, but I'm in the last stages of my PhD studies: this means late-night struggles to get experiments running, and frantic brain-punishing thesis writing. Fortunately the former point was finished (successfully!) in the past week, but that means that I'm all about the thesis brain-punishment now.
I've made good progress on the thesis already, but I've got another couple of months, yet, to finish writing everything and polish drafts until it's finalised. And then after that I have a new position on the other side of the planet to move to. (That's both scary and awesome.)
Oh, yeah, and I'll be a Dr. after all that. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
I'll certainly be drawing again after this period is over---I owe things to a few of you, and I will get to them. Eventually. For the moment, I'm trying to keep up with the goings-on here, so I won't completely disappear, but I doubt there'll be any art from me for a while.
See you on the other side.

No rush on the commission. We scientists are patient by temperament or we'd go nuts waiting to open the box to find out what happened to Schrodinger's cat.
I plan on putting the thesis on my website once it's completed and finalised. It's not finished yet, though, and there will likely be suggestions/corrections to be made even after I submit, once examiners have read it.* I hope that's all done before year's end.
*(Australian system is a bit different: No oral defence; more emphasis on examination of the thesis itself by external entities.)
The part that sucks, though, is that as soon as you submit the thesis your student status terminates, and your stipend (if it hasn't already) stops. Yet, you still have to wait a few months before the examination/correction process is finished and you're finally awarded the title. There's this period of limbo where you're not a student anymore, but you aren't a doctor yet. I've been able to negotiate with my future employer about that, but it's frequently a bit of a pain in the arse.
