know if there will be a mobile ipod app?

I can't remember where I read it, (I think someone's journal on here), but Dragoneer said himself there would never be an iPhone / iPod app for FA. (he doesn't think they have enough market share). But on that note, I'd be surprised to see an Android app either.

What I'm most interested in, is weather or not the new UI that's going to eventually come out for FurAffinity, is going to be mobile phone friendly. The current UI, which I rather like honestly, is about 98% compatible with my mobile phone, (and seems to work pretty well on most Android / iPhone models I've seen, also on some Symbian phones like the N95.) I know the page is going to closely resemble SoFurry, (unless they change it again), but SoFurry has an actual mobile website. I don't know if that's in the works for FA. (I'm also not on SoFurry, so other than a little dinking around, I really couldn't do much with their mobile site. I may investigate this farther when my phone recharges.)

Personally, I don't really care if there's an app, I'd just be happy with mobile browser function. So far, on most smart phones, the current setup works alright. I may have to do a little digging on this just for curiosity.

Well then what s the point for mobile if it is not? All mobile devices do have a form of mobile web anyways... Defeating the purpose of a mobile fa if there is no android app or ipod apple app

I'm a little confused at what you're saying here, but if I get you right, you're saying if there's a mobile app, it defeats the purpose of a mobile web page or vice versa? Honesltly, I don't think so. Take Facebook for example, or Twitter, you can access them via mobile web very well, but both have mobile apps.
Mobile apps are more a matter of convenience, or to allow you to more easily do things than the website allows. the two don't really cancel each other out. That and sometimes it's also a matter of choice. Some people prefer to not load up their phones with apps and just use the web applications. Others prefer the "click and go" nature, and background notification options of apps. I go both ways, for example, I use a twitter app, but prefer to access Facebook at the webpage. Also, everyone isn't me, so doubtless others will have different ways they do things.

it IS a pain though because I can't use the advanced search options, but I can still comment on people's submissions and note people and other stuff =3

Yeah, that's what I do a lot of the time on my phone. Like now. ;)
