How much should I charge for comissions?
I'm only asking because I've put up a few journals offering comissions, the latest which recieved no replies whatsoever. It could be the fact I'm not good enough or well known, but maybe (for my self esteem's case) it could be bacues I'm charging more than my skills deserve.
I thought $10 would be a good price for a pic, even though I don't know much about dollars (I'm British), mainly cos of the $10 sketch thing. If some artists could get away with giving away sketches for $10, then shouldn't a fully lined pic with background from me be just as good?
Also, when it comes to my comics, is $10 a page too much> It's just, I don't know how ellse to prcie a comic, and I thought going by page numbers was a good way to do it.
Ah well, maybe the reason no on replied is because of this financially challenging times (which had something to do with why I'm opening comissions), I just wanted to ask and see if anyone responded.

I'd gladly get a commission off you for $10, specially for a full pic, but I don't have paypal so can't :3 and i really don't want to have to spend money through the UK postal service, it'll take forever lol.

Well, maybe for a comic you should charge $10 per page for X pages in total and then if people want a longer comic they can get like a discount per page of let's say $1... You should work out the details on this one...

Have you considered pricing it out in euros and then converting that euro over to dollars?

Well, I only say $'s because most people who watch me tend to be American. I also ask to be paid in pounds, so $10 is actualy about £6

I think your prices are fair but I agree with the idea of GroenteMan about the discount per comic page. And if you really want to see if the prob is the price, maybe try $8 instead of $10 : one figure frightens less than two figures (marketing ^^)
