Really? How can someone cut a 5 year old girls throat and then plead insanity through bi polar. That's fucking retarded.
My baby cousin murdered by my uncle in law he lived in the states and is facing the death penalty because hes from the states does anyone know if the pleading insanity thing will get him off the hook?

When I first heard the little girl's family name I wondered if they were relatives of yours because its a relatively rare name. This is a clear cut case to use the death penalty, ( although putting the guy in a cell wallpapered with photos of the victim with the words "you killed me" over every inch would be appropriate as well. ) There he could spend the rest of his life being reminded of
what he's done, he'd never see general population either as he would have his ass offed by the other prisoners in a max security pen for being a child killer.

I read that the prosecution is not going to bring the bipolar disorder into this and that it will be up to the defence if they want to submit that. Of course he is insane for being able to do something like that, but now it's a matter if he understood the differences of right and wrong...which generally is the foundation of an insanity plea. From the sounds of it, he knew what he was doing...
I hope your cousin gets justice...again my condolences.
