SAI tools missing.

So I was talking with a friend, who was trying to show me some tricks in SAI. I really had a hard time understanding what they were doing until I realized that I was missing some key tools they were using in the program!

Initially, I thought this was due to a different version, so I updated it to the current release. Only the tools still are not present...

Anybody else have this problem? Any thoughts?

Perhaps they were additional tools then downloaded and installed as plugins? Also potentially, I'm not "with it" when it comes to SAI, but is there a "premium" version of it that would have more tools in it than a standard version?

There isn't any additional plugins or tools for SAI, but there is different mappings for the brushes which give them different stroke effects (essentially the same kind of effects as a paintbrush). You can make new brushes in SAI though by right-clicking one of the empty squares in the Brushes palette, and then you can choose different options for it ^^.

I can't remember the specific tools off-hand. But I seem to recall a 'line correction' tool or something that is apparently abscent from my program, amongst others.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure that they were on a Linework layer (which is pretty much the pen-tool side of SAI) as opposed to a normal layer then. :3 Click on the icon with the pen just above the layers to make a linework layer.
