They give me some ideas like invisibility ("disappearing into the shadows"), blinding attacks, manipulation of ambient light, manipulation of ranged energy attacks (magnification, division, dulling, bending, etc.), barriers, or an attack related to rose spikes (while seeming deceivingly beautiful).

well, i have the innate rose abilities due to a rose living inside my body, my normal magic just dull the rose's senses so i can only use one or the other as area's build a 'charge' after a while

heh, its simple, only one sorta ability can be used at once, balancing, myth can use minor magic with hir Voidbreaker, but it's presence dulls hir higher abilities
the rose is close combat/assassin type abilites, its thorns are bone and vines covered in the thorns cover hir arms, normal sized roses bloom from the vines when they're on hir arm and the petals can be forcefully shed with explosive force

yes, but more like a sorcerer of chaos, between slanneshi and tzneetch in terms of... things, hir being hermy and magical, plus the rose symbiont... and the mastercrafted .75 calibre revolver blade that fires mass-reactive gyrojets... i even made up a boltround like a cross between a metal storm frag round and the thing the barb-lanced in the first(?) book of the gaunts ghosts series fire

75 calibre gyro-jet rounds individually made of folded and etched steel made into the shape of a rosebud with a small explosive charge at the center of the folds, the petals bloomed in flight and the explosive would fragment the petals just before impact, there folds of the roses were designed to make the round spin in a more stable way then just the gyro-jet thruster does... this is a special ammo for hir revolver-sword: Voidbreaker

interesting, not read any gaunts ghosts, only first 5 books of horus hersay, sons of dorn and the last souldrinkers book

i have most of the GG series, up to Only in Death, i dont have the spin off though
