I feel bad for M. Night.... I havent seen the avatar cartoons but I kinda want to now after reading of how bad the movie was :C

The cartoon series was amazing and M. Night had his work cut out for him since it was so popular. And it had the potential of being a really great movie. He just... messed it up. I'm all for giving movies the benefit of the doubt and I'll try to find anything I can to say positive about movies but... It was just bad. If you hadn't watched the cartoon then you would be confused cause the pace of it was so jumpy and quick that you wouldn't know what was going on. And if you had watched the cartoon (which is one of the only ways how you could understand what was going on) then the mistakes and changes were so great that it was like M. Night was mocking the cartoon series saying "Oh yes I did. I just changed and put the story in whatever random I want and there's nothing you can do about it!!"

I went with my brother and he was more pissed than I was. I had to just keep saying throughout the movie "Just forget everything that you know about the cartoon" To which he would say "But that's not how it's supposed to happen!!" And I'd say "Well it is now. Just accept it!" Needless to say that really was the whole high point of the movie experience; Mine and my brother's commentary and arguments lol.
