I really love the drop-down menus, great job! :)

I like it, it looks a lot cleaner and more open. However you might be able to use that space more efficiently too, maybe add another column into the recent submissions and such? My other thought is to possibly take the links underneath the banner, and take inspiration from Opera/Chrome, placing them in a toolbar at the very top of the page that overlays all pages.

my thought about an extra column to the latest submission is that it may inadvertently make it harder to control trolling type activity, because that means more space to show shock art and more time before it's off the front page, should it go un noticed by the staff.

also is there an official place for bug reports on Sigma as well as overall suggestions for the new UI and site layout?

However just a note as I log in, I do love the new UI when it comes to the area around the user name once logged in. Is that user total just how many are on Sigma? Or the Furaffinity servers in general?

I was pointing toward the ability to upload art directly from the photo gallery to the website. Yes, the page is beautiful on the iPad, and that's the only way I access the web anymore. Good show. :3

I mean no offense to you, but it's silly to limit the ways you access the internet to just one method. o: What if your iPad gets broken, stolen, or crashes?

First of all, unlike some numbskull that constantly drops his phone, I actual take care of my electronics. If I feel a situation is going to be dangerous for my electronics, I will secure them beforehand, and make sure things are safe.

Second, anyone that tries to snatch my iPad from my hands, is going to get chased to the ends of the earth, and a knife in their back. My gadgets are my babies.

Lastly, it doesn't crash. Unlike PC software or Android stuff that's full of bugs, and pumped onto the market without full spec checks, iOS is the most advanced, fully tested OS on the market. Hardware and software are custom built to work together, and it all just works together so perfectly.

I don't need to lug a big, slow laptop around if my typical daily activities involve checking blog sites, sending email, editing photos, listening to music, and talking with friends on the go. I have 3G. Connection everywhere I go, and it's ultra fast. The only thing missing, I feel, is uploading photos and art to FA, which is the only thing I use my iMac or old laptop for. Once FA is capable of that, I'll be set..

Every computer can crash eventually. x3; Apple computers may do it less often but they'll still do it under certain situations (particularly if I'm trying to use it and have a deadline to meet and forgot to save the project I was working on). No software is flawless. I wish they were, though.

The iPad isn't a computer though. Its a mobile communications and gaming device.

If it computes, it's a computer. o: It's not a PC, but technically it's still a computational device. x3; The name 'computer' applies to...well, anything that solves mathematical equations (which it does in order to render those communications and games).

That said, it can still have issues. It might not yet. But let it age a couple years. xD

I'll be upgrading to each new model that comes out. I'm not concerned.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to sell Apple mobile devices on eBay to people in other countries where they are charged heavy import taxes. I have -always- been able to sell previous generation models on the iPhone for well over $100 more than the price I bought it at.

So don't worry, I'm not losing any money, I'm making a profit by using Apple devices. :P

I don't buy most of those cliches to begin with (though I will state, rather fairly in my opinion, that the Macs I used in highschool did indeed crash just as often as the PCs, specifically they would freeze and lock up, generally requiring a reboot, which I believe to be a crash.)

I don't like the anti-PC cliches though. xD; Each brand has it's strengths and weaknesses.

I do know you can't upgrade the internals on the really thin Mac laptop that can fit in a manilla envelope, though. At least, not that I'm aware of. Uberthin = few upgrade options. >.<

Oh, also, I will state that I wasn't aware anyone called Apple the "New Microsoft". o: I always thought Apple was...well, a computer company, with palm-pilot-esque phones. o:

things i can do on a pc that cant be done on a ipad: secondlife, steam, steam-games, compile codes, have a very large hard drive (in both ways), have either a virtual keyboard or a hardware keyboard, umm lets see.... A MOUSE, customizable down to the core (operating system files), ect ect.

I don't play or want to play Steam, compile codes, or need spinning platter hard drives. The games available are plenty good for my entertainment, and solid state memory is much more reliable and lightweight.

I'm not sure where you're going with the virtual keyboard, but the iPad already has that. I can also attach a USB keyboard or my dock keyboard if I'm writing a paper. There's no need for a mouse, because everything is accessible via touch (just as with any tablet computer, only much faster and easier).

I can accomplish my daily tasks and needs much quicker and easier, anywhere I'm at, on my iPad. I have a 12-16 hour battery, immediate access to the Internet and messengers and email, and it's ten times faster at loading up programs than any computer. :P Maybe you have different needs or wants, but it's replaced my laptop and iMac. Sorry you have trouble accepting this, but you're not going to sway me. I know what's efficient.

Also, Macs are better.

I am sorry to say that (oh well, it is a test site and it is a personal review), but I don’t like it: drop-down menus are anti-ergonomic, the ads are now so visible that they distract the viewer’s sight, also more space between thumbnails means more time to click on each in a gallery.

That’s all I can think of for now!

This is much better for us who view it on mobile browsers like the iPhone. Less wasted space on the side.

One positive and one negative:

Negative: Having the "My FA" link seems a bit redundant, when you can just click your username a few pixels above. Perhaps there's some other thing that could be better linked there.

Positive: Having the "Notes" link! I know it's just one less click than the current go-to-control-panel-first, but it's also WAY MORE VISIBLE than being at the bottom of a long control-panel list.

Everything else that I'm liking has already been mentioned.

I like it. It looks more well brighter and alot more friendly.

This is the 3rd revision of FA I've seen. It's sure as hell better than the other two, but...

Myself and plenty others would agree, that it just seems a little harder to navigate. We currently have a navigation link box, which is VERY simple and VERY easy, and I think it'd be cool if the admins used ALL of those links with the new site design, because otherwise it'd just be even harder to re-learn how to navigate FA :/

Also, the sigma site REALLY could use more adspace :/ a single banner at the foot of the page, not many ppl are gonna see, so it's kind of a setback for anyone who advertises here x.x

You KNOW people are here for the art, you KNOW they'll scroll down for it. With the artwork on top, a lot of people just clicky-click-click on the visual arts and never pay any mind to the rest.

There's a few things i'm liking and not liking on the sigma site. I like where the ads are now placed and it gives the site a more full look to it especially after you scroll past the ads. I don't like the bigger text on the home page. It makes the bars they are in seem bigger than they really should be, and it makes everything below them take up that much more space. The top of the page also seems to take up more room than it really should. Perhaps moving the ads right more and reducing the space between them could help. Then the banner and menu can drop a bit and the user area in the top right might need a bit of adjusting. The items on the userpages also seem to take up more space in width than they should, perhaps adding a few more options to them or perhaps allowing the icons in those areas to be bigger. It might also be good to let people customize their pages a bit by moving things around or changing the size themselves.

A feature i'd like to suggest is to let people customize the home page, perhaps they want to see the first few things added from people they watch. Or maybe being able to re-order the categories on the home page, Some people may not care as much about stories or poetry as they do about music.

I don't know how much you're going to do or how much your willing to do, I know HTML and the like can be hard and annoying to work with.

I like it. =D But, as a few others have said here, the option to have the current layout would be superb. Another recommendation would be having the option to customize our individual pages. Like when a journal is very very long, and you want to leave a comment/shout, you gotta scroll for miles to get to the box.

Overall though, I like the sigma site. ^_^

i have agree with wzwlda it feel stretched out also it seem also the it feel bulky compare to current ui we currently have witch has a tight compact feel to it witch works well with iphone when it in use

Also since i am a dial up user ( Yes there still ppl that use dial up that still around ) i notice that stigma take a lot longer to load then our current ui we have what take a minute for current ui take 3 to 4 minute longer

More intuitive. It seems big. Like an old person increased the size to see better. Does it scale to each user or is it fixed? It seems like it was designed at one resolution and stretches to fit. I claim no knowledge of web page stuff and that's the best i can convey what I'm thinking.

Dont mind having the navigation links ontop, but.. As many others say, it seems big. On my 19" screen its ok but on my 22".. Noes. Some function to set a fixed width would be nice

Please fix it so that when your managing favorites, deleting one doesn't boot you back to the first page. When you have a lot of favorites that have been taken down by the owners it is hard to get rid of them when you have to start back at page one.

The banner: It just doesn't appeal to me at all.
the ads: I thought they were better of to the side. Not right in your face, but not hidden at the bottom.
My FA: Your username takes you to you page just fine. Are people really this stupid they can't figure it out? seriously? And even if it didn't, it feels like a sore thumb.

What I like: contact info, page layout, online users
Page layout: even though I dislike the ads being at the top, it does waste less space o the side. And if your using adblocker, it gets fid of those ads up there and looks much nicer.
Contact info: because of the new layout the contact does strech as much.
online users: It's just kinda neat

I think you people are being lazy wen they say the adds get in the way. wat is a tad bit more scrolling gunna do? give you arthritis? i love the new layout, it opens up the entire website. yes, maybe you could close the spacing a bit, but i love it otherwise. i think the visual artwork below music/writing is a good idea too, since those categories are unfortunately less noticed.

the "my FA" is kinda silly. i propose replacing it with the watch list. its silly to go to the control panel and click watch list just to get to my friends user pages.

i love the new control panel. it will take some getting use to, but i did not like it off to the side. defiantly needs re-formatted; session management is hanging over into the right-hand box, but i know your still workin XD

As some have stated, the ads at the top are kinda the first thing I notice on the page. I don't particularly like them there, but it doesn't doesn't really bother me that they are there either.

Overall I like how everything is placed and spaced. I am not really sure why I like it better, but I do. ^^

Wow that's fuckugly. I really hope this doesn't end up being a proper permanent replacement for old FA. Especially the over-huge WALL-O-TEXT control panel.

A revised version of the FA Interface that has a better feel, and is are little more browser friendly. Keep in mind Sigma is our test site, so some things may not be as efficient as we'd like, or we may outright break them as we fiddle about, but we're sprucing that up as we go. I'm afraid I'm going to have to call Shenanigans here.
