I'm having the same issue.

The body I can get after about an hour of tweaking.

The hands and feet turn out as 2thumbs and a corndog. Feet are bricks.

The head I cannot get the depth, of the muzzle, the shape of the muzzle, or the expression.

Ahh well, that's kinda what happens when you make a hybrid no one else has ever made.

The last line there is part of it, the other is that some how were I try to draw it the eyes are on the fore hear, near the temples, or just floating in midair.

I don't even have the option of floating eyes because I despise anything anime-related.

Good for you, as for me I trying a differnt angle.

I can do the head on a side angle.
But that's it.

That is fairly easy and I've seen a number of artists do it that way. Unfortunatly that would work for what I have in mind.
