How about doing a sketch of your character from behind? It would be an interesting challenge to work your tail in, could be good for practicing depth and perspective.

Umm.. snakes? :}===<

Snakes + Liquid shifting almost seems unnecessary, since they already flow pretty well, but you can take their natural flexibility and enhance it, I suppose.

Other than that, I'm trying to think of a liquid shifting idea that hasn't been done before.. perhaps looking into the possibilities around expanding one's liquid body, rather than compressing it. A lot of ideas tend to revolve around slipping into a small space, but what about the inverse, where you could use your mass to become less dense, and larger? I don't know what reason you'd have, aside from a macro bent or intimidation.. *shrugs*

Well, I've pondered that one. If one hollowed-out, or felt the need to then that mass could go elsewhere... or stretching out quite a ways too.
I did have a bull-snake-naga I'd tried, but then found out someone else had done one. I'd like to work on that again tho.

Sageon is the bull snake in question, no? In any case, it's a great idea. It works oddly well, even with the rather distinct dichotomy between the huge thick powerful bovine and the sleek serpent.

Also, in terms of liquid shifter ideas: I feel like you've done it at least once, but I like the idea of a liquid shifter 'cloning' themselves, using half of their mass to make another one.. or another couple, all of whom can gang up on someone else (in an intimate way). Coupling that with the lesser dense mass idea would make each of the clones the proper size.

You'd think that Garrus, that blue liquid shifter snake below our comments, would have made you think of Liquid Snake from MGS. :P

Also, I'm curious if it's clear at this smaller size that there is a little bit of a smirk/grin showing on the side of my/the snake's snout, as evidenced by the sliver of visible teeth beyond. Or is it too small to see that clearly? It's not a big deal, I just realized I probably only notice it because I'm familiar with the full size pic.

it's just barely visible. also, i DO have a couple serpentine characters floating around in my art.

Hmm what about somebody literally stepping inside you or something as a liquid shifter, like giving somebody a hug and then noticing they're actually sinking into you hehe :P

I think seeing Termy use his liquid abilities in some sort of "secret agent" thing would be neat. Makes for the perfect sort of power to have for infiltration, squishing through vents, dripping down to attack from above, or even hacking into computers to borrow an idea from above. A lot of neat possibilities.

I'd love to see a dolphin or orca, also maybe some positional/perspective ideas.. for example, someone looking up at you as you help them up, perhaps looking down at you from a balcony, or you resting, maybe on a beach or bed, just for practice with POV
