I sing rain

When someone's going to ask me "So what did you do in your vacation, Kaoru?" I'm going to answer with "I played all the Half-Life games, from beginning to end.".
Seriously there's nothing else for me to do at the moment since I find it absolutely impossible to leave the house. According to the news Berlin is the hottest place in the whole of Germany right now, nearing 40°C or something. Though it feels hotter I when I reach my arm for a check out of a window. This is hell. Totally, without a doubt.
So what I've been the past week (apart from dipping through the Half-Life back catalogue) is:
* Watching all the Marx Brothers movies in chronological order. I got all the DVDs for cheap... and the next movie in line is "A Night at the Opera".
* Watching all the Tom Tykwer movies in chronological order. I got all the DVDs for cheap... and the next movie in line is "Perfume". So I'm almost at the end at least of that project. ;)
* Reading the Doctor Who book range from the early 90s, the (in)famous New Adventures. So far they've been pretty much hit and miss (just finished the impressive car crash that is "The Pit"), but some reason or another I find them somewhat intriguing. It's like fan-fiction, the writers can't get the 7th Doctor and Ace totally right and therefore often feel like different characters, but you keep on reading because some of the stories (or at least the ideas behind them) are quite good. Not so sure about Bernice Summerfield so far, though. I adore that character in her own Big Finish-series, but at this stage she's pretty much a Mary Sue.
* Listening to Perry Rhodan-audio books. 60s SciFi cheese is awesome.
* Waiting for rain. Which other parts of Germany seemingly get in abundance... just not Berlin. Barf.
And I know, this was my first entry in MONTHS! But let's not make too much of a fuzz about it, eh? ;)

FA+
