So far I've only ever been to two conventions. Animazement, an anime convention in NC and Anthrocon, in PA. I want to go to more conventions. However, I'm not sure which ones to go to. I'd like to keep all of my choices on the east coast or at least close to it.
So far I've considered MFF, FWA and maybe even Furry Fiesta. Problem is if I go I will need someone there that I know, that doesn't mind me being a clingy second shadow that is too nervous to stray too far. I was practically glued to
's side all of AC.
But suggestions would be appreciated!

located in memphis tennesee, this convention runs 700~900 furries.
Just big enough to be REALLY awesome, and small enough to where its
more intimate and less chaotic, you won't lose your friends or only see them
once the whole con, like what happens at larger cons.
This year the hotel is *NEW* now its in a smaller hotel/convention Center
that is geared 100% towards hosting events. This means Added Security, and
comfort. Think of how the westin @ AC was 99% furry. This hotel will be %100
furry, ALL rooms were booked, and the entire hotel is reserved for our event.
this means no one to cause disruptions, or awkward questions about "why are you wearing tails?" or " what is furry? "
Plus 100% chance i will be there, (i have room in my room) and Crusader is 80% certain he'll be coming.
MFF - midwest Furfest - chicago NOVEMBER ... about 1,500 furries
i do not reccomend this con based on personal experience... if you know
people going it might not be so bad. My experience was altough i knew
people there, they all pretty much dissapeared and because i didn't know
the rest of the persons there, there were very few people out and about to
meet and hang out with (unlike AC where there is never a shortage of new people
to meet "on your level" )
FWA - Atlanta GA https://www.furryweekend.com March(some time)
this con is ez to get to and has 1,000~ 1,300 furries. this con runs into the same
problem that MFF runs into in that is bigger than "small cons" so therefore you
will likely not see your friends as often. And its not as BIG as AC (or FC) so there can
definately be a shortage of people to hang out with if you're alone. as you do
more and more southern conventions, you'll see more familiar faces, and that
problem will dissapear @ FWA.
Also 100% of me being there, and 95% of Crusader being there...
RCFM - Rocket City Furmeet https://www.rcfm.net last weekend in MAY. Huntsville AL
this con is between 300~400 people. The Cool thing about this con is its VERY chill.
the Rooms are the BEST hotel rooms @ any con period.(microwave+fridge - everyroom)
there are lots of cool people to hang with, it being a smaller and more intimate
con, you won't get lost in a sea of people, and your friends are always out n about. also i'm local to this con (10 minute drive ).
so %100 chance i will be there. %20 of Crusader going.
so i hope i gave you some cons to look @ look forward to. and if i see you...

MFM: After checking them out I'd really like to go to this one. Depending on travel costs whether I drive or find a ride. (I'd prefer to find a ride than drive myself cause I have a lousy sense of direction.) And depending on room cost I may be able to swing it, that is if you don't mind me rooming with you.
MFF: Penguin loves this con. She pretty much knows that she is going since school doesn't interfere with it. I know you said that you had a bad experience with it, but if you want you can hang with us. We're not too terribly lame, and we can guarantee we won't disappear on you. Heck we felt like we had run you off at Big Momma's since we were in such a small booth, we felt bad about that.
FWA: I want to go just because of the theme next year. I also hear very good things about it.
RCFM: I had expected the room at the Westin to be like that, I was disappointed. It has to be awesome having a fur con only 10 minutes away! All the fun of a fur con without leaving the comforts of you're hometown.
