Dead Space: Alt Fire reactions

Not so much here but over at hentai-foundry.net has DS: Alt Fire garnered some interesting reactions. My intent for DS: Alt Fire ran opposite to what most people assumed would happen as I wrote DS: Alt Fire as a one shot, just like Alien: Subject 8. But I guess the ending, where the heroine gets herself a Level 1 Engineering Suit and a Plasma Cutter to face other Necromorphs, might have had people thinking other chapters are in order. In hindsight, I find nothing wrong with this logic. Also, I like the character I made for DS: Alt Fire so I don't mind writing about her exploits on the USG Ishimura.

interesting read. I wonder if shell end up becoming like the boss from the 1st dead space. =0

Some people have suggested that Erin slowly become a Necromorph herself, but I don't like bad endings very much. And even then, I'm satisfied with where the story ended. However, I actually did start writing another chapter where she goes onto the Ishimura itself, but I haven't finished it quite yet since I just started writing the Aliens series, which I intend to finish first before doing other series.

as others have commented it did seem like a quick ending, but then that seems necessary in a genre such as Dead Space because you're always surrounded by death, and destruction unless your beside the pillar(dead space: downfall). At this point you've kind of sealed her fate the instant she had that moment but yeah. It'd be suprising if there was a happy ending. I know you'll find a way. =D

I'll definitely try and figure something out so Erin won't die on her journey. But it's kind of hard to choose the monster she encounters since almost all of them are pretty nasty and 100% designed to kill stuff. But like you said, I'll make it work.
