Fatness in Cartoons
Has anyone here ever noticed how many kids' cartoons feature characters who eat a lot or expand in some other way?
If it wasn't a character whose gimmick was eating/fatness, it was an isolated scene where the characters pigged out or something
Man I can think of 10 shows right now that did this at some point. It didn't even have to be relevant to the plot, it was just the artists were like WE MAKE NICE AND FAT :> all of a sudden
I realize that animators are always trying to sneak their fetishes and naughty things into their work, because a lot of the stuff they're made to work on is often very sterile and generic (especially these days) so they're trying to use the characters as an outlet for sexual desires to keep their passion for the project up. But this is one interest that ALWAYS seemed to weasel its way in, no matter which company was doing the animation.
I'll admit that chunky people can be fun to look at sometimes (if they're still attractive with the poundage), and the idea of eating yourself huge and happy is understandably erotic. But why is it that EVERY animator seems to have the same interest, especially when so many people are turned off by fat and it so often makes a person look uglier? What is it about fatness and gluttony that cartoonists are so attracted to?

FA+

Animaniacs: Wakko has a total eating disorder and packs anything and everything away; one episode involved two American Gladiators eating an entire swimming pool filled with weiners and beans
Beetlejuice: BJ eats beetles until he's huge then he's normal like two seconds later
Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic often diverts from the story completely and stuffs himself with chili dogs belching loudly afterwards
Shnookums and meat: Probably the worst offender and entire episode involves the cat and dog getting super muscular then getting really really scrawny and their masters freak when they come home and start force-feeding them entire hams and steaks using funnels Also a side episode involved a superhero opossum and his sidekick eating the world's biggest pancake and they were huge and gross afterwards or some shit aaaaah why do I know thiiiis
Pretty much all the Disney serieses (Aladdin Goof Troop Rescue Rangers etc) had a scene where one or more characters binged and got huge
One character is a dog girl who can inflate herself to huge size but she gets heavy as she inflates so characters react to her as if she's fat
Tiny Toons: Babs gets force-fed cakes until she's jumbo/large
Like seriously
The pink dog one was from Krypto the Superdog (show sucked btw)
