Website || Commissions || Buy Me a Coffee || Store || Patreon [Inactive] || Twitch Recently, I offered three free icons in the forums to whoever grabbed them first. Since then, I've been getting private messages asking for free art, even after I've politely declined. I am making it publicly known that I am no longer giving away free art. If I am, keep an eye on the slots. If they are filled, don't ask (especially days after they filled).
I try to be very fair and nice about things. Not everyone can afford to pay for art, I get it. So that's why I do freebies once in a while. However, art is how I make my living. I have no other source of income at the moment (thank you economy). I cannot afford to give away all of my art. If you want me to draw you something, commission me. I'm having a "name your own price" sale. How much more fair can I be than that?
If people continue to harass me over this, I will close down freebies for good. :( I'm sorry.

If I were you, I'd delete every note. It's a waste of your time. I know you're trying to be polite, but not everyone asking for freebies is doing so 'innocently'.
I've had some person that think I'm their slave since I recently did a free sketch for them. I had to turn him down like this. Paraphrased slightly (except the last message) to protect the guilty.
"When are you gonna be done i got another person to draw and it would be cool if you could draw him if not thats okay but I really like the way that you draw and it would be super cool if you would..."
"NO!"
"Oh, okay, I want one with..."
"I said no last time."
"When you get the chance..."
"There's dozens of people a head of you on the list right now. And even rapists know that no means no."
And on top of him, I'm getting other PMs asking or begging. It's getting ridiculous.
