Megaplex post-con journal...[Warning LONG]

I had second thoughts at the start
I said to myself "Hold on to your heart"
Now I know the man that you are,
You're wonderful so far, and it's more than I hoped for
Just gonna ramble on and on for a while as we drive home...
The first day was a little awkward for me. I've never been to a furry con, let alone seen another furry other than my own mate Bobkitty. As we were driving down some road we saw a hearse drive by us...and both of us looked at each other and said 'I wouldn't be surprised if that was a furry driving to the con'. XD Turns out I don't think it was a furry, since I didn't see the car at the hotel or convention center. Ah well.
Still driving, we came across a sign that said something about 'Gaylord Center' , and we both again laughed saying that we bet every furry would be laughing at that sign the minute they passed it.
After Bobkitty almost missed the turn for the hotel, we texted
zarrix and tried to find where we needed to be. After like 15 mins of walking around and stuff we grabbed a couple things and walked inside. The first furry we saw was someone with a blue fox tail. I pointed at it and immediately i was giggling. Walking inside we saw, of course, a bunch of fursuiters and people with tails/ears and partials, all running around wildly. Music was blasting, everyone was having fun already. And so were we.
After a bit of awkwardness on my part of trying to register (the dude wanted to shake my hand, but i couldn't hear him so I thought he wanted my money first... oops. ), we got our first official con badges and a free lanyard to wear it. I managed to hook up one badge on my necklace, one around the lanyard and another saftey-pinned to my shirt. Later I got another lanyard and 2 more badges and I kept messing with how to wear those.
We headed over to the hotel room and dropped our stuff off, and then I went running down to see the artist alley. How typical of me. =P The whole time of the first day I kept saying to my friends that I wanted to find
tailbiter and 
arcticfoxcub , and heh I didn't shut up about 'em for a bit til Bobkitty saw TB's payday badge, and I yelled out "TB?''. Then the hugs came! :D

Everyone was padded and i was not...so I complained and complained and nagged at Bobkitty til he took me up to the room and padded me up. ^-^ I loves you <3
I ran around all day and just met people I didn't even know. I saw a bunch of fursuiters...A BUNCH. My first hug from a suiter was from
Jdpuppy ^^ He squeaked and it was adorable. I melted. XD I got tons of photos, some bad some good. I don't really remember everything that went on the first day, I was too hyper to pay attention. I ran around a lot, giggled a ton, met some fun people and got FA names of some of them. I know I was on a search for the one babyfur staff member that my friend 
doodlewolfdude told me to find. I found the wrong one apparently. XD I found Skippyfoxcub instead of someone else. Whateverrrr. Skippy was adorable as hell and he was definitely my favorite fursuiter of all of them. X3 I'd love to meet the guy outside of the suit someday ^^
I also got to meet a really cute fursuiter who was a bluefur like me. :3 and a dog! Really soft suit, and I loved all the over exaggerated expressions that all of them did. A lot of people kept looking at my badges, saying they were cute or just trying to see what my name was, or what species. Everyone got at least half of it right, so yay!
I don't really remember much of the first day...Whatever I remember I'll edit in later :p
The second day I missed the fursuit parade because I slept too much. :< I woke up right as it ended. No fair.
But hey, I walked into the dance room and they were playing some fun music, and a bunch of people were just randomly dancing around. Some in fursuit some weren't. I got some video, some hugs, and went back upstairs to go wake up Bobkitty. A lot of the time was spent wandering around the hotel/con area just having fun. We met a lot of people at the elevators, since they were packed most of the time, and the middle one liked to crap out on us. It liked to stop at every single floor on the way up or down, open the door and then close like 20 seconds later. It also stalled a lot...but thankfully not in the middle of the floors.

I find it interesting that I see others making a first time fur con journal like I have^^ I only went there Saturday and I saw a lot of fursuiters. Wish I could have referenced more people to find like you did :o Well it sounds like you and your mate had a great time despite some of the awkward moments lol.
