RIP, girls.
So today I talked to my dad for the first time in awhile and it turns out that they had to have two of their dogs put down, including my favorite one. :c
Sophie, the Old English Bulldog, was like 7 or 8 I think and had a myriad of health issues due to her horrible genetics. She wasn't expected to live past like 3 or 4, but she ended up doubling that and lived a good life. She was a sweet dog, if a bit derpy and dopey. I'll miss her.
Jenny, the Springer Spaniel, was 11 and my dad thinks that she came down with some kind of cancer. She suddenly lost a bunch of weight and her hair was falling out and everything. I loved her, so much. She was such a sweet dog and always so happy to see everyone. It was funny because she always thought she was a lap dog, but she clearly wasn't. I almost broke into tears when my dad commented on how lost the cat, Tippy, and another dog, Minnie, seem without her. The cat would always walk over in front of Jenny and get jenny to chew on her and scratch her back because the cat was too fat to do it herself. As for Minny, Jenny was always like a big sister to her. From the day we got Minny, they were always together and Minny would always come over and lay on top of Jenny like a pillow. :P
RIP girls, I'll miss you both.
But the news comes with the realization that most of my pets, whether they're here at my mom's house or over at my dad's house, are getting pretty old. One of my dad's dogs, Honeybear (Toy Pomeranian), is like 15 or 16 now. Their Jack Russell is like 13 or 14. Their cat Tippy is pretty old and really fat, so she's probably not too healthy. My border collie mutt is 14. My cat Mason is like 12 or 13 now. It'll be so weird without them, because they've been with me pretty much as long as I can remember.
Anyways, here are some pictures:
