he was never actually in the military. im not sure that hes even 18 yet. she was afraid that hed join and then get sent over to iraq.

and dj going into the army -could- potentially be a good thing you know. and he may not be deployed. he could get an on-base assignment, or something in technology etc. also, you could get married and that way where ever he would be stationed, you could go too.
i only say it could be a good thing because the army teaches you things that you cant learn on your own, unless your parents are like the military. :/

ya know if he chose military over some one he was suppose to love, thats pretty shallow. Hate to say it but i would never put my job, or career ahead of my boyfriend. It sounds like it wouldn't have worked out in the long run, he seems obsessed with the military... all i can say is. It will hurt, its gonna feel bad, but just need to consider he chose his JOB over the person he was suppose to love. That is about as low as you can go and your not the one at fault here. You were concerned, worried, and afraid for him and he left you over a JOB... that kind of makes me angry... anyone like that needs some sense knocked into them >=(

I went through the same not long ago, and fortunately what he said, he said it just so I wouldn't worry anymore. Maybe he just can't help but to go to Iraq if it's his duty, and maybe he thinks he's not worthy of you, and he doesn't want to worry you forever because of his job. Hold on there. Hopefully when he returns things will be different... I really hope so.

I can't believe he said that, you were concerned about him. He should be thankful that he has someone like you that cares for him.

Hope you get to feeling better, and that things work out for you. Sounds like a bit of conflict ended in a bad way. Though I can understand he might have been hurt by your reaction, but I think that he shouldn't have blown up on you like that. And I digress, I don't know you two personally so I know my opinion isn't all that important or even relevant. But I don't like to see people in a bad way and I just want to throw in my two cents in hope it my help you in some way. People make mistakes, so I kinda feel like you should have been able to have another chance and talk to him. Hope he does cool down and you guys can talk, but just try to keep your chin up, I know it'll be hard, but that's the best thing ta do fer know. I think at least.
