*chuckles* usually true: I'd want to have 3 weapons, a shotgun(like you said, short range), a tommy or greasegun, and something involving fire. Of course, explaining to innsmouth police exactly *why* I need them in the trunk of my car might be another story. Maybe I could tell them I was an anti-moonshiner;)
if I have the gov't ID to back it up, probably; could be checking for 'anti-american' activities.. this is taking place during the... 30's, yes?
*grins* roaring 20's... yes, making myself look like a G-man(or being one) might work well... I'm sure if J edgar can wear dresses, I can say I'm checking for illegal liquor activities, possibly moonshine with hallucinogenic effects, especially in Mass.
