Being single is awesome. I've always wondered the same thing about furries. A few told me they've been dating in the fandom for so long that they wouldn't want to date outside and others said they like doing weird animal crap like barking in bed and didn't feel like weirding out a nonfur. Same reason why most furries only hang out with furry friends, I guess. I mean some of them almost make me feel strange that 99% of my friends aren't furries.

Same here I didnt start meetin furries since about a year and a half ago. There's nothin wrong with having friends outside the fandom it's actually healthy, i think some people forget this. Also I believe some people take the fandom WAY to seriously, like they make it a lifestyle. I just consider this as one of my many hobbies.
And yes being single rocks, you can do what u want when u want however u want with out the nagging!

Yeah, I have too much I want to do with too many groups of people to be tied down to one person. Sure, it'd be nice to have someone else, but I'd rather just deal with that for a while longer for the freedom.

I definitely agree with it making for a better adjusted social life. I mean if you're only good at hanging out with one specific group of people then what does that say about you? I mean I have a bunch of friends in the fandom who are that way and I love them to death, but it just seems strange that you wouldn't even consider someone as a friend if they're not a furry.

Even though my current boyfriend is not apart of this group (and is learning about the people here for a better understanding of what this group is), its good to see that your taking it very well dude.

But don't rush it, I had to step out of my comfort area to find someone who fits well, took some time but it was worth it these days.

I went through a four year on/off again rollercoaster with my exm and when I was officially done with it all, it 'still' took me some time to accept that I was indeed single. I still had guilt trips, I still backed down when opportunities came up, and, though I ended up gettin together with my current last year, it still overshadowed even this to the point of nearly losing my Guy.

You know why you broke up and everything, but if you really loved your partner, the residual feelings cling like a sunofabitch. It's 'hard' to move on, but in time, ya do, probably where you're at, currently. Enjoy it and 'be careful'; don't go stickin your dick in everything that moves, no matter how free you feel lol

The dating Furries thing, I chalk up to, like, association, on my part. I was a bigass man-ho before I got into Furry (irony), but didn't officially date til after I got into the Fandom. Before, I was a bigass Clubhead, promisc asa motherfucker, even stripped for a bit, and it just wasn't there much past sex or shallow friendship. I get into Furry when I hit 23, and as time went on, I calmed down a 'lot'. Iunno, it feels easier and it sort of feels like this crazy Illuminati bullshit goin on, Iunno. I tried dating once after one of my on/off agains with the ex mentioned above; really hot guy from Scotland that lived in a condo in a nearby suburb, but I let it go because I felt like the guy wouldn't understand (and probably because I was still hooked on my ex), even after he tried calling and stoppin by with my best friend/roommate-at-the-time tellin him that I was out, even if I wasn't.

If he was a Furry, I think it would've been easier to accept the guy, and I feel like an idiot now, but hey, I eventually won out and I'm sure that the guy found who matched him. If I was single, I would stray far out into whatever came my way, but dating... Shit, if it wasn't for my current, I'd probably still be single haha

Good to hear u found someone to mesh with! I agree it may be easier 4 another fur to understand but if the person is not a fur but is really into u they would learn to accept it. My ex did and so did every other dude i dated in the past eventhough they're not in the fandom at all. I just find most furs are socially akward and the ones u find that are mad chill either live so far away or are already "mated". That's why i see it hard to date in the fandom, but then again i only been in this for about a 1 1/2 years so im still meeting peeps. But nonetheless im not rushing anything just need to focus on my future right now, a serious relationship especially a long distanc one would be way to much for me at the moment. Most of the dudes that like me here are fem queen types and the dudes i like usually go for the skinny fem twinks, it's like i cant win haha. Also working at the clubs here doesnt make it easier cause i like to keep work separate from pleasure. So the whole manwhore thing i dont really have to worry about.

It's just bout having fun right now and enjoying my youth and if i happen to hook up then "YESS MAMM" be good times!

I actually miss being single :x its soooo much more fun than being tied down. (Not that i dont love the person im with b.b;) but its fun not worrying about someone else and just doin you

I look for who makes me happy, I dated out of furry and it was no diff then dating in furry. Then again I'd found one of the most awesome dudes ever in my opinion. Was a shame his life was so busy, lol. Heh, if it had only lasted a bit longer I would have had an awesome job and been with him for a while, even if we still happened to break up.

The one non fur i dated ended up jealous of me going to furmeets thinking they were sex parties, and though he was polite never mixed well with them even though they're just like normal folks.

I myself am definitely NOT loving the single life. But, *Shrugs* meh... considering how many liars I tried hooking up
with in the past who never proved the undying love they supposedly had for me or something... maybe It's just as well.

Btw, all ofthe ones I have in mind when I say that are not fellow furs either. (Though I've tried my paw at hooking up with other furs
as well, and that likewise went south also). S0 then... so be it, I guess. Perhaps I'm single 4 life, whether i want it that way or not.
