I'm with you, Final Fantasy XII is overrated. The fighting system is almost direct copy of Knights of the Old Republic fighting system and some people even dared to call it 'revolutionary'. The music in the game was sub-par, I can't actually remember any themes from the game even though I played it for 25 hours, it didn't really annoy me but it didn't help create any mood. Didn't really like the characters either, actually hoped a couple of them would die off.

Well, be happy you quit when you did. Being the Hard core gamer I am, I couldn't just "Put it down and stop" so I did everything I could in the game hoping that maybe it got better. I did all 45 Hunts (Which included beating the 5.5million HP Dragon >.< ) I got every License open for EVERY CHAR... SOMEHOW (By sheer LUCK) managed a 102 combo Special attack (The only one that was cool at all was Fran's Teir three)... and the game just continued to get MORE AND MORE REPEDATIVE... repeating itself over and over and over again and again... and all that changed was the scenery and that's it.

FINALLY after 157hours of play, I beat the game... and my reward? A whole 1minute 27 second ending that gives NOTHING to you in the way of information. You get no save state, You get no bonuses for a new game, you can't even start the save file again to go complete other things because you end up getting the ending CGI again. >.<

I still have idiots at Gamestop/EB Games bitching at me that it was an "Awesome game man!" B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T! Final Fantasy 8 was better then 12! And for me, that is saying A LOT since I utterly hated #8. Be happy you stopped when you did, it just gets worse and worse >.<

I'm not gonna rant much....but the only thing that literally RUINED the game (FF12)..IS THE GODDAMN FIGHTING SYSTEM!!! i liked the ATB system like in all other FF games T.=.T

I hate how they're moving away from the thing that made them special. True RPG gamers are getting pretty frustrated with the move away from ATB..

I loved FF12. The battle system was original and fun, the storyline was awesome, the characters yes could have used some work though they could have picked a better name for Fran, the Profeciency cards were annoying at times but fun all the same. Overall, I loved it :3 But everyone is entitled to their own opinions of the game.

IMHO i'm glad my friend bought it and not me. now i like final fantasy, even seen the anime stuff, but 12 did in fact suck the long one!
Even ff9 was better and i didn't think much of that.
But whlie my friend was playing ff12 i was playing Zelda:Twilight Princess on Game Cube, i think i got the better deal XD

I don't see how the battle system rips off Knights of the Old Republic..more like, modified from Kingdom Hearts.


The only complaint I have about FF12 is the act Japan is releasing its international version with a complete Job system and two more characters for the party. I know they've done past international versions, but that one really irks me because they change the system so much.

FF6 = Win. :x.. The fighting system is actually that of FFXI. If you've ever tried it, I hated FFXI, Worst MMO ever IMO. :p.. FFXII was meh.. The storyline didn't draw me in much.. It got, repetitive.. with getting Nethicite and all that shit.. Same style of caves almost, just longer and more colorful.. o.O

12 sucked, but I worship 7 & 8. They were the best games ever, even though they weren't advertised as such like 12 was.

Hahmot ihan ok.. paitsi Penelo... jostain syystää se ärsyttää ihan tajuttomasti XD ....

Silti 7 on ihan paras peli ikinä! :D
