Dissociating Fugue

Dissociating Fugue is a new novel that I am working on currently. I figured I would write down a few notes about it. Lemme know what you think...
Aaron Blake, age 20, lives a stagnant life in Brigid Fields, Montana. He works as a bartender at the local pub and dreams about the day that he'll be able to leave that small town in the dust. However, his life begins to fall apart when he starts seeing an enigmatic young woman with black hair all around town. Whenever he gets to close, she vanishes without a trace, leaving Aaron with terrible, debillitating headaches. Eventually, Aaron is approached by a mysterious old man who claims to have worked with Aaron's grandfather (who spent his last days in a mental institution) in researching an anomaly known as the Stradford Effect, of which Aaron now shows signs. Aaron decides to shake up his life and help the old man continue his research.
Aaron soon finds himself and the doctor targeted by assassins sent by the unscrupulous ArmaGen Corporation. In order to protect their research, the old man elects Aaron to deliver the package to safety. He injects Aaron with an experimental serum that will disguise him from ArmaGen, buying him some time. Aaron blacks out.
Aaron wakes up alone in a hotel room in Chicago. Everything feels...off...Approaching a mirror, Aaron makes a stunning discovery: he is now a she - and on top of that, he is the girl that he's been seeing all around his hometown. According to the ID on the bedside table, her new name is Erin Stradford. Aaron (now Erin) must find a way to deliver the research before ArmaGen finds her. Along the way, she finds herself caught up in the middle of a war between ArmaGen and their chief competitors, Star Enterprises.
On top of all of that, Eriin must deal with the overwhelming changes that have overcome her body: experiencing new sensations, confusing feelings, and embarrassing moments. It's all Erin can do to hold on to who she is as Aaron Blake. However, over time, Aaron begins to slip away...
The title Dissociating Fugue is derived from the psychological disorder known as the dissociative fugue. This disorder is marked by a flight (or fugue) from one location to another. When the individual wakes up, they have no recollection of how they came to where they are. Sometimes, the individual also has no recollection of who they are - name, origins, etc. Aaron does recall who he is after waking up in Chicago, but he (now she) has to fight to hold onto that, or Aaron might lose himself.
