I'm not sure if any of you read B.ichi (just finished volume 4, which is awsome but i hate that it just ends like that) with the series over and ending on a cliff hanger, i want to know what the you thought of a cirtain character, the main villian know as Emine. even the non readers can throw their two cents in.
Emine and his best friend shotaro, grew up togather as orphans. with no family, they caused trouble around town and did their best to raise themselves, each other, and a few of the local stray animals. one day they are attacked buy a group of thugs, the animals are killed and both boys are injured, shotaro is nearly killed. as they both start to fade emine wishes to protect shotaro and heal his wounds, while shotaro wants to protect emine and kill the thugs. their wish in granted as they both become dokeshi, people with special powers. dokeshi have one weakness, each gets a special power and a condition that they must fulfill.
while shotaro is required to do one good deed a day, emine must do one bad deed a day. if either of them fails to do their deed, they ill lose their friendship and their memories of eachother. this drives a hole in their friend ship and causes the two to become seperated.
shotaro searches for emine and makes many friends along the way.
emine become depressed, lonely, slecluded, hated, and feared. all he wants is to either be with his friend or die.....so he chooses to die.
but the only one who can kill emine is shotaro.
so emine decides to become shotaro's ultimate good deed, by attempting to do his ultimat bad deed. he will attempt to kill all humans, then whipe out all the dokeshi...in other words, destroy the world. thus forcing shotaro to kill him to save the world.
frankly i think emine isn't evil just depressed and a tad stupid. but i can understand the fact that he and shotaro are now opposits who are doomed to fight, and that can push some one over the deepend
so what do you think, should we see emine as a hated villian, or should we pity him?
