I had a thought this morning while replying to a fellow artist's comment on my latest upload and I thought it was kind of meaningful. To me, anyway.
"I guess I never thought about it much, even though I've done requests before... that happy surprise when you finally see what you asked for done on a sheet of paper, that is. It was hard to keep from squeeing and Verda felt the same way, I'm sure. I guess that knowing how it feels on the receiving end of my art will motivate me to work harder than ever!"
To make it simple, I guess that although I've done several requests and stuff for people, I've never really considered how they'll respond to the art they receive. I mean, I work super hard on all the stuff, but with one or two exceptions I'm not really emotionally invested in stuff for other people. And perhaps that sort of connection is what I need to have to make better drawings in the future. All I know is that now that I've been on the "other side" of the process a few times I'll be able to work to make my stuff perfect. I hope.
Anyway, now that THAT'S out of the way. I watched my first episode of Children's Hospital last night, and I wasn't amused. Really. I'm pretty sure I could have slept through the thing if I had bothered to. I don't know how any of these critics Adult Swim's been finding could like the show, or why anyone watches it (or Delocated! or The Mighty Boosh or Tim and Eric which started the whole ugly trend). Adult Swim has great cartoons, but they can't make original live-action shows for S@!%.
In another subject change, I've finished Exanu's pic, and a pic of a Digimon, but maybe not the kind you're used to. >:3 More art is on the way, and I'm still waiting for Aug. 13th as the date the comp lab at school opens again.

sorry the the lack on the idea of who, makes me think kinda coincidentally.. so i not sure :(
