She broke her leg two days later. Dx

Poor little Tazz, she's a female Boston Terrier and basically one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. She was rough-housing with some of my other animals, and fell off a couch! We had to rush her to emergency care, and pray she didn't need surgery. She didn't, thank gods.

Getting her was an absolute surprise. Saturday my father took my mate and I to the mall, (Now, we usually take a VERY long time in such places) so, he decided to wait in the truck. When we got back to the vehicle, he wasn't there. So, after about a half an hour of aggrivated waiting, we went back in to look for him, to no avail. But when we went back out, and I saw him sitting inside, I opened the door to yell at him, but was greated with a pudgy little black and white goofball known as Tazz. INSTANT LUFF.

So now, she's got a bright pink cast on her rear right leg, due to a hairline fracture. And although it most likely hurts, the puppy in her is still bound and determined to wobble around for toys and supply torment for our other dog Belle, a Shih Tzu. She's a great addition to our family, and she's mainly here because my mother has FINALLY, COMPLETELY, Moved out. (crowd cheers) So, my father celebrated by getting his favorite Dog Breed; plus, we're in the middle of remodeling and cleaning up the house so she (and us) will have a nice environment to live in. <3

Needless to say though - This new development will furthur delay my artworks, as I'm going to have to help my Dad with getting her to eat, play safely, take her meds, and keep the cast clean. ... And a question - Why the FUCK does it cost $800 to get a SPLINT at emergency care and much less for a CAST at an actual vet?! W.T.F. ... At least they have animal ambulances now, but geeze!

SUPER POKEMON CONTEST INFORMATION:

To celebrate my return to the world of Pokemon (Thanks to Diamond and Pearl), I have decided to put on a rather large contest dedicated to everyone’s favorite little Pocket Monsters. ^^ AND EVERYONE WILL GET SOMETHING FOR ENTERING!

If you’re familiar with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl’s game plays, I’m sure you have sooner or later come across the Contest Hall in Hearthome City. The Super Contest’s held there, are what inspired mine. There will be 5 categories (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart & Tough), to which anyone can be a contestant in, by simply submitting a drawing they have done of ANY Pokemon of their choice; as long as the picture is themed to the appropriate category.

The rules are rather simple, but please take a moment to read them as they are important and contain a lot of information as to how this contest will be run:

The Point of This Contest:

Everyone who enters will be getting a FAIR and HONEST chance at winning. None of my friends or family is allowed to enter, and the contest is strictly limited to only FA users. I WANT THIS TO BE FUN FOR EVERYONE. I cannot stress that enough. There will be REAL prizes, as well. Pokemon themed, of course. Plus, everyone who enters will be featured in a drawing by me. (Please see the prize section for more info.)

How to Submit an entry:

To beome a contestant, please SEND ME A NOTE saying you want to enter.

When you're drawing is done, please submit your entries to the contest by again SENDING ME A NOTE with a link to your submission on FA (Submissions MUST be posted on FA!), along with what category you are submitting it to.

Submission FAQs:

What’s this content and category thing all about?! I haven’t played Diamond or Pearl! Can I still enter?
- Of course you can still enter. The Super Contest I am referring to is a type of mini game in Diamond and Pearl where you can put your Pokemon in a show to be judged on their Beauty, Toughness, etc. You win ribbons and level up in the game by doing so. My contest was just kindof inspired by that, as you can tell by the categories.

I draw, but nothing too amazing.. I can’t enter, right?
- WRONG. ALL art is welcome. Entries will be judged on creativity and overall execution.

So… You want me to put random clothing and crap all over my Pokemon?
- No, no. Well. If you want to. What I’m looking for is for anyone who enters, to pick a category, and draw whatever comes to mind when thinking about that category! For instance, if I was to enter cute, the first thing I can think of is an anthro Eevee with a lollipop and ribbons in its hair. (Not that THAT is what defines cute. We all have our own opinions, so, be creative!)

Does my Pokemon have to be anthropomorphic (furry)?
- NO. Have fun with it, mix things up! Furry or not, it doesn’t matter. Both are great!

How about the ratings? PG? R? X?
- I don’t care for censorship at all, so that’s completely up to you. Be it dirty or clean, we want it, but there are however a few regulations. NO: Scat, Watersports, Vomit, Inflation or Unbirthing, please.

Can I make my Pokemon be having sex?
- Remember it’s a contest for a single Pokemon. So please just keep one character in the image.

How many categories can I enter?
- Just one entry to each category please! One entry to each category. Meaning, you can enter as many categories as you like, but please limit your submissions to only one entry per category.

Now, I would LOVE to give every single person a HUGE prize and hug, but I am simply just not made of money. And yes, I plan to have REAL prizes along with art available in this contest. ^_^

First off, EVERYONE who enters will have their character, along with the Pokemon they’ve created added to a large, sketched, group “photo” drawing! ^^

*provided she has them, though she's got over 300 in her caught pokedex so far.

NOTE: If the available prizes are not wanted, for instance you don't collect the cards, an alternate Pokemon prize (such as a toy, figure, etc.) around the same value (because Im not made of money) will be supplied upon request of the winners.

Deadlines + Voting Periods:

The deadline for submissions is July 31st, 2007. That gives everyone well over 2 months to work on their entries. ^^ After July 31st, the following 6 weeks will be voting time. I know, I know, it sounds like forever, but let me explain.

Each of the 5 posted categories will have a week of their own in which I will post a journal with links to every submission entered. Contestants will then comment on that journal telling me what # of what submission they like best. The following week when the next voting period is posted, the winner of the previous category will be announced.

Week 1: Cool
Week 2: Beauty
Week 3: Cute
Week 4: Smart
Week 5: Tough

The 6th week there will be a journal containing each of the 5 category’s winners, numbered, which will be voted on by contestants commenting on the journal yet again to decide the “Best In Show” Winner.

(Don’t worry, when the time comes, I’ll post more detailed instructions as to what to do.)
