Project from the S.U.N.

There's one genre that I don't readily say I enjoy and that's Psychedelic Trance (Psytrance for short). Now granted, I'm not balls to the wall a hardcore fan of it. Honestly I'm very picky about it. Mostly though, I enjoy the bands that blend Psytrance and metal. My first taste of this dynamic mix was with Infected Mushroom. But recently I've come to find out about these guys:
Now SUN Project is way more straight-laced on the Psytrance side of things than IM, but in many ways they pull off the mix of shredding guitars and Psytrance better than IM. Part of it may be because they were a rock band before converting to Psytrance, but either way their guitars fit in way better in the overall mix of their tracks. Now, I have only ever bought one Psytrance album (Infected Mushroom's "Vicious Delicious") and that's because I honestly don't feel most Psytrance is worth the money. However, I think I can safely say I'll be picking up a few of SUN Project's albums. They totally top Infected Mushroom in the guitars department. <3
