I hate auction sites in general, but if I had to choose, Furbuy. :V

It should if you post it to fursuitauctions and your FA's. :D Qarrezel uses that method for selling heads, I believe.

Well, it would get attention from your watchers. If you list it on a site there is an off chance that someone who doesn't even have an idea of who you are may see the suit and want it. That happens quite often, strangely enough :)

There's always Buy It Nows

Furbuy. Ive had way more success there and I prefer the higher traffic they get compared to furbid.ws

The fees on eBay are becoming ridiculous, and if someone screws you over, you can't even leave them negative feedback. The site isn't what it used to be, eBay treats sellers like their own retail employees now.

That being said, for something as fandom specific as suits, I would do Furbid or Furbuy. I personally have had more success on Furbid, but I think it all depends how much you promote the auction. I think you will get the same if not more exposure, and save yourself the monster fees.

Furbuy. I haven't been able to find a good way to find fursuits on ebay since not everyone labels them as such. And I keep forgetting people use it. And while I personally haven't used furbid, I've heard some rough stuff about it. I personally like furbuy.

I just looked at the Dealer's Den, and only one auction was selling, with one bid, of one dollar. x_x I don't think it's ready to compete with Furbuy yet. It doesn't seem worthwhile to set up an account when there's no bidders there.

People go to whichever site the cool stuff is listed on :D I've sold several suits and had some epic bidwars happen on my items before on Dealer's Den. I am confident Sapphire, with her quality work could sell on any of the aforementioned sites and get a decent price for her work.

Good for you! I'm not being sarcastic, really: good for you. :) I meant no slight against Sapphire, I just meant that Furbuy was likely a better choice simply because there's more people already signed up there. Her viewers will follow her auction to any site, but it'd probably be even better to choose the site with more users that didn't already know of her auctions.

FurBuy will also have stores pretty soon, it's been in development for a few months now.

I think you'd get more attention on the furry auction sites because it's much more likely to have people watching out for suits there

Furry sites are "specialized" so you get people who are already interested in what you have to sell, also people will actually look for fursuits on furry auctions where they wouldn't usually look for them on EBay.

As for which one? Furbuy, easily. It's a big site with a lot of users that is easy to use. It also helps sway in their favor that the people running Furbid are a bunch of nazis with tree trunks up their ass and a lot of potential buyers wouldn't even be allowed to bid on their site, whereas the Furbuy folk seem much more easy going.

My opinion's admittedly biased, since I'm an admin on FurBuy, however I will say that fursuit auctions and commissions have really exploded onto FurBuy lately, in the last 3-4 months, and there's a ton of great new fursuit traffic from both buyers and sellers. But as someone commented above, regardless of which method you choose to go with, your BEST exposure will be on LJ's fursuitauctions community. You're going to get your base interest and traffic from that and FA posts, and then the additional traffic is going to be based on which site/method you choose. For that additional extra oomph, I'd say your best bet's FurBuy for two reasons: first you have a target audience already there, people who like fursuits go there to see what's up for sale and secondly it just has more traffic in general as can be quickly gleaned through a look at the number of auctions present and the number of views on the top auctions there versus on other sites. Looking at the number of bids is also a good general indicator of health. =)

I dislike ebay (especially since they are now one and the same with paypal for all intents and purposes) so if I had to use an auction site at all, I would go with a furry one.

That said, I would prefer to get anything fursuit related from the maker directly (via a website contact page or email etc...) unless you are talking auctioning off something like commission slots.

I am digging Dealer's Den lately! Never had any downtime that I know of, very relaxed atmosphere and a lot of special features!
