Well my step-mother just e-mailed me today letting me know that my father lost his job. My parents saw it coming but it was one of those things were you would hope things would turn out all right.

I'm rather worried now. My father had a series of anxiety episodes like I had at the end of last year. Stress has been really bad for him and he stopped being himself. Had to go on medication. Plus my parents are having marital issues. He's the workaholic kind of guy and puts great effort into his work. So we'll see what happens now.

My step-mother still has her job and they can live of what she makes. Both of my parents have been tightening their income and paying off extra bills and such.

I'm still hopeful this will be a new chapter in my father's life where is free to do the things he's always wanted to. Maybe he might retire early.

But I have my doubts...

My doubts are stupid.

My father seems to be doing fine and is very very happy he doesn't have to work for the idiots at his job.

He's going to semi-retire and get his auditors license and work when he wants at home.

I'm sure this will be a very big change for the man who always prides himself for waking up right on time at 6am and has more ties then I'll ever know, but so long as he's happy that's all that matters.
