And now for the sad news pt. 2
I'm back home from the hospital. But Thursday we received some bad news upon the good of getting out of surgery fine. They removed a swollen, half-dead lymph node and an abscess from my abdomen. They ran pathology on the node and found cancer. Metastasized cancer that had traveled from likely my balls since it was identified as seminoma.
This was very hard to take after I'd just gotten my CML (leukemia) under control.
The good part about this is that seminoma, like other testicular cancers, are relatively easy to treat. But we're still in the dark about what treatment will be and what stage it is until we consult my oncologist and get tests run. But it's far enough along to metastasize, so that is still cause for concern.
I think The Spirit encourages me that I will get through this. That God's hand is strong, and his right hand is mighty to save, but it's always hard to believe when you're tired and emotional. We just live one day at a time till then... and will live one day at a time afterward.
Naturally, continued prayers are kindly requested from you all and support much appreciated.
