THAT'S IT I'M NO LONGER PLAYING MR.NICEGUY. I've been jibbed by several artist now, a few of them that seemed like descent people and "needed some con money." So I commissioned them. Or Some of them where big name artist. So apparently if they welch on one or two commissions it doesn't matter if there's a little bad blood. As long as furries still mindlessly dump cash into them.
Alright moving along I've done some shit commissions before super-long waits, super-crappy quality, super-not-what-I-asked-for commissions. But I'm not here to talk about those artists, they did there work, yeah it may have sucked but they are doing there work/did there work. Fine I can put up with that, no what I'm tired of is artist taking commissions and outright not doing them in the slightest.
Today we have an artist, one who the whole fandom knows has stolen from the fandom IE

A sketch in pencil or even if it's inked, I've NEVER seen any other artist who takes a year to do that. Pegasus316 drew this pic for me: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2567870/ He had to take the book home because he didn't have enough time at Anthrocon to finish it (had to leave early monday morning) and he had my book back in a little less than a month if you take shipping into consideration.
If you look at DCRabbit's fa and look at some of the comments, you get the impression from the people who have been waiting a year that they are wondering if they ever will actually get anything at all from the guy.
at least if you get half assed work you know they are trying, but when a artist just takes off with your money, thats bull. let alone they are writing journals and crap, so they ARE there and they can see your shouts comments and notes. i hope you get your money back
my friends going on 5 years waiting for a commission he payed lots of money for, he is just giving up seen he asked reminded her about it, but poor guy just keeps getting forgotten

Have you tried posting to artists_beware on LJ? If you have further issues with this artist or others, it's a community specifically for warning others about bad artists and commissioners. Usually getting posted on there makes bad artists get their shit together in a big hurry because it's such terrible publicity.
