Style

I find that when I look through the newest art here or on other art sites... I get bummed. Bummed not in the sense of "I can't draw", bummed in the sense of "what's my style"? Others seemed to have honed and refined their art skills. Whether it's in their painting, design or over all look of what they draw, it's something that they own. They've made decisions based on influences as to how they want to art. Me? I feel sort of lost most time. Like I don't know what my style is.
I've always drifted around following one artist or another, being in awe of their skills. Pulling techniques out and mimicking to learn but never really deciding on how I want to draw. I like so many styles that I find it hard to dedicate myself to just one and focus on it.
I feel like I'm sort of pulling a scam. I can draw... but I feel lost and don't know what I like in my own art. I very much enjoy the art that I do, don't get me wrong. It's just, out side of work when I can draw how I want, I just feel lost.

You did the Influence Map Meme, didn't you? That shows at the very least multiple influences that you've taken to paper in your own unique way. Furthermore, you have a style that's distinct - if you can tell it apart from anyone else's, isn't that proof enough of originality, and isn't that enough?
Emo journal is emo.
You are great with a lot of styles (which is awesome), so maybe your over all style is more subtle.
I always saw a distinct style from you, with upgrades and new techniques over time. I don't know if I could adequately describe it though. I don't know I could describe my own.
I don't know where Im going or where I'll end up, and whatever I draw looks different from picture 1 down to picture 10.
Its frusterating
A style is the sum of what you've been exposed to and the insight that tries to invent new things. The mind will shuffle the two parts and out comes the style. It's your pictographic handwriting.
The artist that was the character designer on Bambi said something like:
If you keep trying to draw out your head, things will look the same eventually. Take time off and get some fresh exposure from new source material.
...And finally, I once read from another prominent fine artist from the late 1880's (I cant remember whom):
Originality come from having 3 masters.
So basically, it seems to me that you're feeling stagnant. I'd lake a step back and take some heartfelt efforts into studying GREAT artists whom you admire. It may give you some new source material to help foster some fresh ideas or re-invent your existing pictographic handwriting.
(That was some art-hole spewing right there!)
I've never personally tried to have a style, but I do think you could pick my art out of a crowd if you new my work. I personally think you have a style, and I could identify your work on the front page with relative ease.
