I'm BACK! ....Sort of?

So there's good news and bad news. I'll lay it all down straight for you so no one's confused.
Good news first! My computer is running again!
But now the bad-ish news.
So here's the dizzle. My friend Mark fixed my computer after much trial and error, during which we discovered it wasn't a hardware error after all, it was just Windows being a witch. Windows absolutely refused to install back onto the hard drive, so to make absolutely sure that my computer didn't have a hardware issue, he installed Ubuntu. It went off without a hitch. And with his (and Whirlbat's) help, we've managed to get my tablet working with Linux (it wasn't easy) so theoretically I should be able to go back to arting post-haste, right? Does that mean Poim's finally back to FA so she can get back to procrastinating?
...SORTA! Because my computer is not only old but it is very pathetic, hardware-wise. It was slow before Windows jizzed all over itself, and now it's worse. When I try to draw a nice curvy line with my tablet, instead of a smooth path I get some sort of gross polygonal shape that I have to erase and go back to do over again. And then it happens over and over, making the whole process very frustrating. If I wanted to draw with straight lines I'd use the line tool or maybe a ruler like I used to when I was, like, 8. >.>
So bottom line is, I'm using Whirlbat's computer. It's not a convenient arrangement in the least, but at least his works a whole heckuva lot better than mine does. Smooth lines ftw!
So yes, I am coming back to FA. But not nearly as frequently as I was before, and until I get the computer situation sorted out (I'm considering buying a new one with all the fat paychecks I'm getting from my new job) arts will be slow. Sorry, guys! And a special thank you to the people whom I owe art. You guys have been so patient, you're the best. <3
Time to work on commishkins nao. Bbl lulz.
