No more art from me ;_; Help??

I'm sure a number of people will read the subject and just unwatch. Thats fine, but heres whats going on.
I can't get my tablet to work properly in Photoshop. When I put down my line and draw it applies all pressure, no matter how much or as little as I give. Also it trails behind and seems to play "Catch up" with the pen. I was using a new photoshop and went down to the version I had before (all this was on my old hard drive before it died and before I quit posting). The old version is doing the same thing.
If I stroke lightly it will eventually read the light stroke and pressure works until I go to make another line. The stroke lightly deal is that I got to keep stroking until it hits the right spot. Until then it keeps making large lines.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled my tablet, a Bamboo as well as my 5 year old tablet. I get the same results.
SAI on the other hand can keep up with my pen strokes (the way photoshop used to do) and does read its pressure sensitivity just fine.
I'm sorry but I can't use that program. I really don't want to learn a new program after spending 10 years in photoshop. That and when I've used SAI in the past its acted weird and last time crashed on me on a simple test. Not a good impression.
So until I can get this figured out, I'm out of the furry art community guys. Does anyone have any suggestions or know anything that might help out? I'm all ears and desperate to make this work again. I miss streaming and uploading new work.

I'm no expert but if both tablets are doing it, maybe a fresh install of the PS program and drivers is needed? I can't see both tablets exhibiting the same issue?
When media starts going all digital many issues can come up. It makes things very frustrating to say the least :/
My tablet had the same issue, when I changed the nib, it worked fine.
Thanks for the input though, once I find the spare I will give it a try :)
the delayed 'Ghost sketching' as I like to call it sometimes happened to me hen Photoshop was eating up too much of my HardDrive power, and was skipping. What's your typical resolution for sketching? Larger canvases make large skips.
As for the people who was unwatch because of just a journal line, that's idiotic to no degree, since you clearly also put "Help?" at the end.
Hope that helps a little. I enjoy your art and would hate to see a stupid thing like this cause you to no longer do it.
I dont believe too much of my hard drive is being eaten up but I also dont know how to check such. I usually draw in 300DPI on standard 8 1/2 X 11 paper.
I have people unwatch because I upload something they might not like. I just laugh about it an go on ;)
Thanks for the comment. I do believe Ghosting is the right word for this. Reminds me of the Pacman ghosts trying to catch up to me lol. If I could draw and color in Illustrator I would since it, even being another Adobe product, works fine with it. Alas, I'm stubborn to Photoshop. Thanks for the advice :)
Had the same problem, other people too, we all fixed it just like I just said.
Anyways, restarting Photoshop and waiting for it to load before doing anything else always worked for me.
Also, check your tablet pen and/or photoshop settings, it's quite possible that there's an unchecked box labeled "Sensitivity", "Pressure" or something along those lines somewhere.
Google also says something about SHIM, some pen sensitivity drivers for Photoshop. I don't know much about it, since I use SAI but I did use Photoshop a year or so ago.
Hope this helps and if it doesn't, hope you resolve this issue soon. Looking foward to more Bayson art.
Having eliminated the tablet as a variable, you stated you used both tablets with the same results, we know the tablet is not the issue.
You have tried multiple programs, and there is a problem with only one program. Assuming I'm reading you correctly.
This leaves two other things to check. Uninstall the tablet and install it on a different port. It may be a hardware issue with the computer.
If that does not resolve the issue, then we have to consider Photoshop. Did they recently release a software patch? I recall one time on the help desk at work, upgrading to a certain service pack killed all Internet connection configurations.
Things to consider.
I did try to plug my tablets into different USB ports, I forgot to mention that. That thought is a great one but still no luck. I plan to uninstall and reinstall again. If all else fails I will back up all data and reinstall my OS with my fingers crossed. No idea what I'd do if that were to fail.
Thanks for time and trying to help me with the matter :)
Why this was the case, i don't know.
I caught the problem relatively early, so I only felt it necessary to system restore to three days prior, so I didn't loose anything. I would have liked to have figured to what *caused* the issue when I had it, so I could diagnose it.
I was nervous it would happen again, but it did not.
>MOST< of the basic stuff I used photoshop for has an easily discernible counterpart in SAI. The learning curve wasn't that bad, and SAI just handles so many things so much infinitely better than photoshop, yet somehow is this itty bitty so-not-resource-hogging program. With photoshop, blur/smudge was more or less out of the question just because it had to grind through processing every stroke, but SAI just does it like nothing. So far, I haven't found gradient or text in SAI, and it doesn't have photoshop's filters or as many layer options, but it does all the basics a lot better.
If the program is glitchy or crashes on you, then it might be some kind of driver incompatibility or something on your machine (might also be whatever is causing your problem with photoshop). I've only had a problem with SAI >once< the whole time I've used it.
And yeah I had problems with that as well. I think its just lag really but I'm honestly no expert. All I can say is to update the servers as it was said before me. Maybe clean the surface of the pad to make sure there is nothing on it that is interfering with the pen..
I'm wondering if the problem isn't with Photoshop, it could be a setting or an option that got messed up, causing undesired results. Sounds like you might have to do a clean reinstall of Photoshop if it comes down to it.
