i don't know how to feel about my attraction to him in this episode... i am conflicted..
i think hes great but i shouldn't be thinking he is sexy.. what is wrong with me?

I LOVE ROBIN WILLIAMS (Jewish accent) wanna fight aboud it?

I'm sure Which Show this waz....
Well....its not unusual in our fandom- but theres crossover in the greater mundane culture as well.
A current example would be the attraction an awful hell of a lot of otherwise quite mundane/non-fannish women (and a few men...) feel towards various Twilight characters- including the werewolves.
Also, someone I ran into a few years ago who is a well known, non-fannish female bondage model talks about finding out after her father died that he had written a quite extensive fanfic about wookie-like aliens with a strongly BDSM culture based on the star wars universe.
She had no clue whatsoever that her father had any fannish interests of any kind- as far as she had known, he was as straight edged as a yardstick...But his files of this material were large, elaborate and quite well written.
She is working on his files as a memorial of some sort- I do not actually know much more than that, but it gives an idea of how the appeal of the exotic can manifest in surprising ways.
