Fight her all you want you'll never win
Couldn't we just once leave her in bed
Let the dry air cut her happy throat
Hide her heart and lose her happy head
There is something seriously jacked up with my back, and due to not having insurance for the past 2 almost 3 years there's nothing I can do about it. I have pretty good reason to believe that most artist have back problems, so does anyone have any good recommendations on how to make it feel better? I've been taking some painpills which don't help at all. And I've got a heaty pad thing, which helps alot but makes me nap. But I've got a lot of stuff to finish up, and I can't draw with it hurting this bad.
FA+

The best thing I've come across for it is just lying flat on the floor for a bit to ease it, then a warm pad with 800mg of ibuprofen. But yeah all of it makes me tired, so I dunno, take 5 hour energy with it? XDD
What the_mike said about an easel does help as well. Keeps you from hunching over.
If you come up with a simpler way I'd love you forever if you shared XD
I've gotten my boyfriend to help by him wrapping his legs around my thighs and his hands around my ribs and doing a wrestling move that stretches my back out. However I don't think this will help anyone, it's usually a swing and a miss with me.
I've had very bad problems with my lower back and siatic nerve, so I do stretches to relieve that and strengthen it. Which I can link you to a site that has a bunch if that's where the problems are.
Mostly you can do yoga stretches and stuff, they help a lot :3
I wish I knew yoga it'd prolly help alot ^^
Here's a BUNCH of stretches you can do :3
They have some yoga books out there too I'm pretty sure there's some basic poses online somewhere
When I draw, I lay in bed with 2 or 3 pillows propping me up so I'm sitting up at an angle but my back is straight and cushioned. Same when I play video games.
As for remedying that pain, I always have someone rub my back; or if no one's around to do it I find a support beam or something similar, and push my back against it 'til the pain goes away. I haven't taken medication for it because I don't know what would specifically target kidney pain.
I also read in a now-lost Wiccan healing book that I had, that if you push your back against an Ash tree, and visualize the pain being soaked up by the bark, it'll help relieve back pain. I used to have an Ash tree in my back yard, so I'd always go to that when I had a problem, before my kidneys started hurting.
