FYI there's a PC version of Grandia 2, though it doesn't work with anything vista or past.

And I'm coming outta lurking just to go "Woot! Timestalkers! Use Nigel!", so party hard.

More and more I'm regretting leaving XP. Win 7 just seems worse and worse the more I use it since nothing works right on it.

Unfortunately the Time Stalkers keeps breaking too. It can freeze from changing characters or saving, and save files are corrupt most of the time and freeze on loading.
I only use Rao myself...and not because he's a semi furry character but because I tend towards using the hulking meatshield type characters with giant swords. I like being able to get two attacks every turn that are guaranteed to penetrate armor as well as hit every enemy in the 4 square sector I target. I have two priests using str up every opportunity on him so that in some cases I'll hit a boss for easily over 1000 damage or more even before critting! XD

Ahh, I always used the yogurt-ring trick so I could breeze through a dungeon without worrying about anything and just take the time to farm items (As well as nostalgic memories of Shining Force 1 and having a team of yogurts do battle XD). I mainly used Nigel just for his extra item capacity and higher luck, though I will say Rao was one I liked for 'cosmetic reasons'.

Dunno what your take on piracy is, but it couldn't hurt to at least download the PC version of Grandia 2 and see if it works in 'compatibility mode'; after delousing it with plenty of anti-virus checks of course.
