I was going to run it by the mods first and make sure it would be okay to announce publicly, but whatever. If this is considered 'targeting' they can remove it themselves. I do not want to incite a flame war against this guy. The art in question was removed by an admin already, there's no point in going to his page and attacking him. I just want you guys to be aware of him in case he's done this to other people that I didn't notice.

Do any of you know this guy personally? I'd never heard of him before today, and from what I can see he does appear to have some skill, I don't know why he felt it was necessary to do this :/

Overall, kind of lame.
I think that sometimes, good artists just get lazy, or burnt out. They need to make money, they need to keep making pics for people, but they are running on empty, they have nothing left in the tank, so they cheat. That's what I think it could be.
Tracing is a helpful learning tool in art. I would let him know that you want it taken down, but I would encourage him to try the reference again-- just without the tracing.
Y'know? I mean there's enough changed that it's more like a reference/base than an outright theft.
You may disagree with me. ;_; I'm timid about posting this, anyhow.
I thought when I first looked at his character sheet that the pose looked really familiar. And if it WAS just a similar pose with the front leg raised and the head turned, I wouldn't have cared. Hell, if he had only traced the feet, or the wings, or the tail on their own I might not have have cared either. But it only took me about five seconds to get the overlay to match up entirely, and that's not cool. It's lazy and dishonest. Besides, my art isn't there to be used as a 'base'. These are commissions that I've done for other peoples' characters, not free color-it-yourself templates.
D: Just a different perspective. I don't condone the stealing of art!
Tracing and Plagiarism
Tracing is not permitted on Fur Affinity. Any image confirmed to be a trace (lines matching up 50% or more) will be removed. Derivative work is permitted so long as proper credit is given to the original artist. Written works containing plagiarism will be removed. Quotes and references from source material are permitted so long as they contain small snippets and benefit the story.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he either traced over stills from the movie, OR outright copy and pasted them in. I wish more people were discerning about these kinds of things.
