well, we went to see harry potter yesterday. the only thing that pissed us off was the half an hour of shitty adverts that came before it.
WHY? we can see your shitty adverts on TV any time we feel like torturing ourselves, so dont put them in front of movies! we've come to the cinema to see the movie, we dont give two shits about dairylea's freakish clay cows or the stupid kid who has his fucking dad's fucking pants in the middle of his fucking roll. if anything they're putting us off from getting the products they're peddling in the first place.

Yeah but companies are obsessed with profit nowadays, they're getting extra money by showing them. But some of the film ads are exclusive to cinema viewing, they're the only ones I really pay attention to xD

Isn't it wonderful? They force us to sit through 20 minutes of TV ads, they show us movie trailers that give away the entire plot, and then they wonder why nobody goes to the movie theaters any more. Let's see....we could pay ten bucks to endure said ads, plus noisy kids and jackasses on cell phones, or we could wait a few months and watch the same movie in the quiet of our homes on our increasingly cheap to purchase big-screen TVs. Hmmm....

I actually find that a couple ads are fine in the intro to the theatres... Like maybe the theatre itself could advertise a small bit of one of the movies THEY were showing AFTER that movie... But I agree with you... Waaaay too many TV ads in theatres ^^;
