For those who don't know, I'm at the tail end of studying for a Ph.D., and as such I've been writing a thesis. Recently I've been unable to draw, keep up with FA, or really spend much of any of my free time doing anything other than writing as I try to finish.
Well, as of today, it is done. I have submitted. These exhausting past few months are over. It's in the hands of the examiners, now. I'm confident, of course, but we shall see what revisions the examiners ask for before I become a Dr.
It's weird: I suppose I should be excited, or happy, or... something. I've been working on this thing, almost exclusively, for... shit, over a year. I had planned to make some kind of joke at this point, like "Suck on my long, hard thesis" or something, but I really don't feel like it. I don't really feel much of anything about it. I'm just kind-of... tired of thinking about it.
Well, anyway, I'm back. Hi! I want to apologise to my friends, here, for disappearing like that. Lord knows I hardly wanted to, but it was... kinda necessary. Sorry.
I'll be drawing again, I expect, now that I have my free time back. Of course, it might be a little while before the assembly line gets back up to speed. In the meantime, I have recently taken some wildlife photos that some might enjoy, so I'll upload a few of those.

Oh, I still haven't read that second story you did for me, have I? Must do that, soon.
May I suggest that you take a couple of weeks vacation in the outback (or an isolated spot along the coast), realllllly far away from it all? Bring your laptop in case you feel the urge to create some shiny furry porn, but do not commit yourself to do so. Travel through a new area will stimulate neurogenesis in your hippocampus and help you to overcome being stuck in a year + deep mental rut.
And a whole weekend, too! I won't know what to do with it!
