I don't really even consider myself a hardcore furry artist. I do some furry related work but its usually like a trade or a commission.

Most of my work is monsters, creatures, fantasy and expressive related stuff. :x Don't let the way this site works get you down. Hang in there.

Well I just feel bad, I don't have anything to offer. Trades or commissions would be nice but not only am i suffering a really miserable art/creativity block, I'm not well-known enough to even get commissions. To get commissions I'd have to make examples and doing furry art for myself is just like /HGHHHHHHH/ but I can only get commissions if i make examples and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

basically I should stop being such a lazy picky shit

Sure, you're not going to get as many watchers as someone that draws anthros or animals 24/7, but there are people on here that appreciate other subjects outside of the particular norm. I know I dig pretty much anything you're willing to tackle.

If I can't keep an eye out for your work here, I'll definitely follow you elsewhere. I will reiterate, though...don't be too discouraged too quick. It'll always take longer if you're not pandering to the masses. I know I'll have to work three times as hard at DeviantArt because I don't do anime, sparkledogs or dollfie photography.

Well that's good :c That there are people who appreciate other styles/genres/subjects. I guess I'm probably just projecting, there are a lot of issues going on irl for me right now and I feel really isolated; there aren't many places I fit in and I figured it would just be better for me to leave instead of trying to impress people who... who probably aren't interested in what I do. You're not coming off as whiny at all. Niche audiences (i.e., people that aren't interested in nothing but cute girls or porn) can be difficult to find and latch onto, especially when it varies from site to site. Leaving doesn't fix it, though. Rather, it stomps down what momentum you had and forces you to start from scratch, all over again.

It'll take a while, but I know you'll be able to do it. Good art is good art. :)

Oh no, I understand. But sometimes random compliments can be good for the soul. I watch you on DA, so it's not like you'll disappear out of reach (I hope). I don't draw much furry stuff myself, mostly monstery. If you hadn't posted here, I might never have caught you there, so I for one am glad you post here . . . really, your art is so wonderful, even if it's not all dog-headed people it classes the joint up to have it here!

I remember being scared to price. It's kinda a hit and miss and if yer just starting out it's best to do simple things for cheaper until you have a reputation with commissions ^^

Now I just feel like I'm going to reiterate everything that everyone else has said, but you know what it's true. Besides what I love about your art is the style you approach it in (that reminds me I'm going to look you up on DA! Now you'll get stalked on there too by me).

And I am REALLY tempted to commission you one of these days (if not I can just ask the BF to buy me one as a present lol). If not well if you're ever open for a trade or something I'd be really interested in that too (granted I'm not the best, but hey I like doing what I do and trying to get better at it).

I always thought your work was pretty freakin sweet. I admit, I don't comment on every piece I peruse. I'd probably be a commission whore if money allowed, but alas I must admire other's creations and drool. I'd hate to see you go, seriously.

I'm not sure it's entirely necessary to be an antrho artist to post here. I mean...look at my gallery XD I have like...5 anthro drawings.

I get a decent number of commissions here, mostly because even furries have human characters they want drawn sometimes, and they prefer hiring artists that show they can do that.

I think you have to try and be more obvious about being open for commissions, instead of asking for interest. People like knowing how much things are going to be, because asking and then having to turn stuff down because you can't afford it is kind of embarrassing to some people.

The first few clients are always hard to snag, but once you have several pieces to show your ability to follow through, it gets way easier. I tend to get a new client with each few commissions I post, which is really nice ;A;

Aww, don't take your stuff down just for that! It can sometimes take awhile to get people to accept commissions (and I think a lot of people prefer seeing some sort of price list... it gives them an idea that they can save up for). Advertising in different forums (FAZ, FA, etc) can also help.

That being said, I usually watch people for the quality of their art... and you're not exception. <3 If you like drawing humans, you'll eventually find a niche here if you haven't already.

Echoing CentraDragon - I watch for quality, not for subject matter.

FA is more 'furry friendly' than 'furry required.' Keep posting awesome stuff, or I'll be crazy sad because I'm basically never on DA. You're one of my favorite artists here. Either way, I'll go add your LJ just so I don't miss anything, if you do decide to leave.

My mom has put the kabosh on me spending my own money, so I can't commissions ANYBODY. She thinks it's stupid, anyways.
Otherwise, you're extremely talented and I adore your work. I would commission you if I could. I HAVE THE MONEY. I just can't spend it. =_=; Every now and then I withdraw money from my bank account, if I save that I can send cash..... but you probably don't want that lol
