So I just got back from my bat class in the Sierras.
It was so fun! I got to hold a few pallid bats, and lots of myotis..es and a bunch of silver-haires, and I got to see some corynorhinus and we heard a spotted bat on like the third night. No pipistrelles or hoarys, but I'm not trippin all that much. Bats are so soft! They have kitten fur and its so awesome. I have little gnaw marks on my finger from thursday night when we got like 6 lanos in almost no time at all and I had trouble getting one out of the net because he was a little bastard.
SO YEAH, I'll post some pics from the class pretty soon, and Ill try to catch up on some art thats been posted.

GO LEARN ABOUT BATS
I'm paranoid of rabies ever since my own scare. D:
My scare in a nutshell is I found a possum that wasnt doing too hot but in the morning it seemed completely fine and I released it. Later we realized it showed the signs of dumb rabies, and I kinda freaked since it didnt bite me, but i did get maybe get a few claw marks on me or something.

That sucks for the opossum scare. rabies can be transmitted through saliva, so like if you get drooled on, and then rub your eye, you can get it.
