For name suggestions, I made this post:
"Don't forget that if you want to bring over your FFXI character and don't necessarily like the idea of a surname, you can go with a title for your first name, instead:
Captain Soandso
Lieutenant Soandso
Sorcerer Soandso

Etc. Just something I realized when seeing some people in beta running around. So don't fret if you hate the idea of a surname -- use a title.

P.S. We're pretty sure the FFRP society is going to organize that most FFXIV RPers join the Lindblum server, so that's probably where we'll start. There is a post on the GoB forums that will make it clear before launch where we're going.

THE SERVER IS BESAID! This decision is permanent. Most people I know on FA who were going to join the furry guild are going to want to follow along with us, so if you are reading this, go to Besaid. Don't worry, you can make characters on multiple servers. But be prepared to go to Besaid at launch.
