Soooo... tomorrow my rat Leonard has an appointment at the vet.
There's a good chance that he may be put to sleep and I have a sourness in my stomach because of it.

Leonard is old for a rat. He was adopted back in May 2008 and his age was estimated to be about 6 months. So...he's lived a pretty long life thus far.
As of recently I noticed he's thinner and he seems to be dragging his foot as he walks and he has an irritated eye. Not to mention I think he may have a respiritory infection.

I am hoping tomorrow he can be given meds and come home alive, but realisticly speaking, there's a good chance that he may not.

I hate the idea of deciding somethings fate, so making the decision will be very difficult. But death can also be a blessing of sorts.
I want him to go with some dignity and in as little pain and discomfort as possible.

Tonight he was spoiled rotten. I gave him a ton of treats, including vanilla pudding and his favorite...banana!

He's a very special rat to me, I just wish I had spent even more time with him than I already have.


Anyway, I just needed to type this out..
I can't sleep and he's all I can think about at the moment...
