My Knee Exploded...

Not On This Account Anymore!!!
It's happened once before in High School, but this time was much worse.
Okay so it didn't explode but I 'threw it out'...I think is what you call it. I apparently have a weak left knee. This morning, while I was walking through my sister's living room in AZ, I barely nudged the corner of the futon couch frame she has and BAM my kneecap was on the side of my leg.
The side...of my leg...
Kneecaps don't belong there.
My sister heard me gasping because I couldn't make any other sound at that moment. My first reaction was to grab it to keep it from moving because it DID feel like my knee was going to just...pop. That's the only way I can describe it. After a bit I started yelling and babbling in pain and shock. I don't remember too much because I was in a panic. I remember trying to jerk my leg straight so I could pop my knee back and that just sent a bolt of pain all the way up my limb.
So I started taking deep, shaky breaths and cursing my head off while I concentrated on relaxing my stiff muscles and straightening out my leg. Once my leg was straight enough...POP! Right back into place.
This was when I collapsed and curled up on the ground whimpering like a little girl and trying to settle from the shock. I am man enough to admit this! I have never felt a pain so intense and frightening. I thought my knee was exploding.
The first time it happened (in High School) my leg was already straight and it was easy to just shove it back into place, but I was in mid-stride this time and my leg literally locked up in a bent position with my kneecap at the most disgusting angle and position. I tried not to look at it but my sister said it was disturbing and she was about to take me to the hospital because she said I was panicking so badly. I don't remember much more than the pain and yelling random shit.
Update on my life.
When I have a job, medical insurance, money...important stuff like that, then I'm going to have my knee looked at. I might need a brace or something. It's still sore and feels a bit stiff now, but works alright with little to no pain.
Love,
Champ

Oh shi-!!!
*puts popsicle on your nose* D:
(btw, first time ever posting on one of your journals >.<)
Yeah I hope so. But for now I'll just be careful with it.
It's the most unpleasant thing I've experienced (never broken a bone...yet).
It makes sense though. The more damage done, the weaker it gets. I hope I can get a brace or something for support to at least prevent it from happening often.
I had a friend with that in both knees. The cap was slightly off center so would "slide off" under stress. Only correcting would be surgery and rehab to relocate and retrain his knees. Hope you fare better. : \
I have screwed up knees, caused by a sudden growth spurt in my legs. Apparently, some of the precise and skeletal support muscles didn't grow properly along with my bones, so they are more or less inferior and weak in my knee area. If I twist my leg the wrong way, my knee dislocates. To be precise, my femur dislocates from my knee, and I have to straighten my leg out with a bit force to pop it back in.
Ugh...THE PAIN...
That sucks, man.
You really do need to get it looked at and you might be looking at surgery down the road to replace it.
A guy your age should not have disjointed anything, period.
I'm not doc with a PHD but if your knee is disjointed somehow you'll need surgery to fix it. No way around it if you have pain like you say you do Champ.
But the fact that it's happened more than once (with little provocation) gets me worried.
Man, I hope you can get your knee looked at, that can't be good :c
When my OWN legs started to feel tingly and weird reading this
Considering I have bad knee's but NOTHING like this.
dkgsglksklsdg
makes me cringe holy fuck x_x
Hope when you get it looked at they can fix it up for you oAo;;;;
FFFFFFF
I remember when I broke my leg my mom took a look and went 'I think you hurt your leg'
I had shattered both bones. OF COURSE I HURT MY LEG
Haha, ow that sucks though.
BUT ITS JUST A LITTLE SCRATCH MOM I CAN TOTALLY GO PLAY LIKE SOCCER NOW
It does. BUT. It gave me an excuse to lay around drawing. XD

Your poor body!!!
Good luck, go see a doctor dude! D:
glad things are better and theres no hospital requirement
Still, never had my knee cap thrown sideways like that. I hope there's something someone can do to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
