Wow... I had no idea that such a holiday existed. :o)

I've got a pretty good amount of plushies myself, maybe a third to half of which are teddy bears. I've got one that's almost as tall as I am, and I've got a couple of other bears that are about a yard tall and are identical except for color... one is brown, one yellow, and... *cough* I've recently modified the yellow one. :o) It's my first attempt at such a thing, and done very differently from the other ones I've seen online, in that it can be concealed when not in use such that you have to know it's there and look for it (and a couple other improvements). He's been wearing a Grateful Dead bear t-shirt for a while now, and it seems to suit him rather well. I've never posted any pictures of him or his brown twin, but if you're curious, I could snap a couple of photos of them for you. I've also got a Meeko that will probably eventually also need to be modified at some point in the future. ^^ But yeah, otherwise, I just wanted to say hello... hopefully all that wasn't too TMI.

Crap... sorry if the private mail was a bit... much. :/ Being deprived of interacting online for a while can maybe make me go a little the other way. Basically, I'm using an older machine that's not up to date with current net standards. I just regained access to FA a month ago when I installed an SSL that allowed me to log in. I still don't have LJ access other than reading it, as the verify section uses Java, which none of three browsers on this system has. My Mac died before Xmas, and the nature of living from check to check by yourself means that you continuously never quite have enough above bills and food to do much of anything else (sometimes certain bills slide a few days past due until the next paycheck). I've still managed to get to some furry cons the last few years, as the huge furry battery charge they give *far* outweighs the cost of going. I did, though, want to relate to you something I've done with plushies that I really liked. In deep winter when it's super cold outside, late weekend nights, I've inflated my queen size air mattress in my living room, put a faux fur blanket on it, gotten naked and piled a little mountain of large plushies on top of me, and just snuggled deep within them to sleep. It's a very soft, warm, and contented feeling to fall asleep like that, and it continues if you wake up briefly in the middle of the night, still buried in fur. :o)
