Salaam and Peace everyone! After 30 long days of fasting and spiritual growth Eid Al Fitr(Festival of Breaking the Fast) is finally here! For those who don't know Eid Al Fitr is one of the two big 'Eids' or festivals in Islam, Eid is practically the Muslim version of Christmas and Thanksgiving put together, since in Eid there's a feast and gift giving. On Eid after a morning prayer at the mosque there's joyful feast were people put on fresh clothes, visit family and friends, pay their respects to deceased relatives, get rid of old grudges, and give charity, in Muslim countries its a really big holiday like Christmas here in the US.

Although seriously, Happy Eid! ^^ It was quite the celebration over here, my house was the primary open house for my mum's side and wow, was the house in high-gear for guests, lots of Malay food, relatives, and later at night, fireworks! ^^ Our neighbourhood sounded like London circa The Blitz what with our neighbourhood being Malay-majority!
